Why fishing has no fixed RTP
Slots are independent per spin and settle by RNG on payline rules, so a stable theoretical RTP can be worked out. Fishing is different: player input is mixed into the result — which fish you aim at, how big a cannon you use, when you fire a weapon all change the expectation of that shot. Fish payouts: higher multiplier, harder to kill
Every fish maps to a payout multiplier: small fish pay little and die easily; big fish and bosses pay more but need more bullets. The key point — a kill is a probability event: hitting a fish doesn't mean this shot kills it; it kills with a probability tied to its multiplier.
By design, high-multiplier fish have their kill probability pushed lower, pulling the expectation back toward the overall band. So "only shooting big fish" doesn't mean high return — it just widens the variance: either one shot pays out, or you burn bullets on empty stretches.
Cannon multipliers: scaling cost and payout together
A cannon multiplier (say ×1 to ×100 or more) is a two-way amplifier: it scales your bullet cost and your potential payout at the same time. A bigger cannon means each shot costs more and pays more per kill, but it also burns money faster during empty stretches.

The real fishing ledger is this multiplication: your actual return = the game's overall maths × your input efficiency. Hit rate, cannon choice and weapon timing all sit inside "input efficiency." That's why two people playing the same FC fishing title can end up far apart — not luck, but play.
